Community Groups + Organizations meeting at Advent
We regularly share our space with community groups in a variety of ways. Our social hall is a multiuse room that also can easily function as a gym. In many ways it functions as a community center. For more information email Adventlutheranwc@gmail.com.
Basketball
Numerous basketball teams and organizations, including Upward make use of our gym at various times of the day and evening.
YOGA

Mahjongg and the Annual Alzheimer’s Mahjongg
Advent is again providing the social hall for the 7th Annual "Mahjongg for Memories Tournament". Tournaments are being held all over the country on The Longest Day, June 21st. Almost 70 people will be attending at Advent, supporting this national fundraising event for the Alzheimers Association. Church members, Sue Pritchard and Sharon Knoedler will be participating. 100% of the tournament registration has gone to our local Alzheimers chapter which enhances care, and support, helps fuel research, and raise awareness.
Currently over 5 million people are living with Alzheimer’s, and 16 million are serving as their caregivers. You can support this event by donating using link below, or contacting Sue.

Condo Associations
Several area Condo Associations, including Chesterfield and Summit House make use of our sanctuary and/or gym for their homeowner meetings.
Soccer Shots
Soccer Shots uses our gym throughout the year for various programs, weekends and during the week, depending on enrollment.
Fit4Mom
A fitness class for moms with their babies and toddlers, often with strollers.
Jugglers
Practice in our social hall.
Pickleball
Advent formed a partnership with Calvary Lutheran Church to host Pickleball, Tuesday evenings, generally starting around 6 PM and lasting until 8:30 PM. Players are asked to make a donation of $1 or more which is given to the WC Food Pantry. Advent also began a second Monday and Thursday afternoon Pickleball Gathering from Noon to 2 PM.
Scouts
In addition to sponsoring Boy Scout Troop 222, Advent often houses Brownies and Girl Scouts and their events, along with many Pinewood Derby’s.
WCASD
West Chester Area School District uses our parking lot as a bus transfer station.
